YOUR BOUTIQUE KITCHEN
We offer accessible and immersive experiences in cooking (and eating) that are both challenging and fun that help bring people together and provide a forum for development.
We create bespoke menus for every client, based upon your dietary needs, culinary interests and desired team outcomes.
The most common group size about 14 with an absolute maximum capped at 50. We only work in Melbourne and buy our food from markets and local specialty retailers. This way we keep the personal touch and you get the best experience possible and the best food.
We run our programs in dedicated commercial kitchens where your health and safety are looked after and you have access to everything you need to make some truly awe inspiring food. Maybe you’ll even get to indulge in a bit of Masterchef fantasy amongst the gleaming bench tops!
GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY!
We want to give people a genuine experience of cooking, one that will hopefully flow over and enrich their personal lives. Cooking should be something that everyone can do and does do, something to bring people together that you can feel proud of. That’s why our programs are totally hands on and interactive with the participants as stars, not the chefs. Actually, we think of ourselves more as facilitators, here to help you get where you need.
THE ONLY TEARS ARE FROM ONIONS
Our recipes are carefully written, being easy to follow whilst still providing opportunities for challenge and learning. You won’t need to cry to make them. Though we use ingredients from lots of specialty shops, they’re not hard to find or insanely expensive. People love the experience of cooking our food so much they’re inspired to try it at home. That’s why every participant gets copies of the entire set of recipes used by the group
FOOD THAT’S HIGH IN CONFIDENCE, LOW IN PRETENTION
Our food has bold flavours. It knows what it is, where it’s come from and where it’s going. You don’t need to “understand” it. It speaks for itself quite eloquently in a variety of dialects from all over the world. It’s made from great ingredients that are fresh, flavoursome and ethically sourced.
A lot of the recipes are regional specialties that I’ve discovered on my travels and often (frustratingly) can’t be found in Australian restaurants. I’ve collected, researched and tested like a lunatic to bring you these little wonders from the four corners of the globe. No really, you’re welcome! It was nothing.
HAND ME MY SOAPBOX WILL YOU!
I got into this business through my love of food and how brilliantly it brings people together. I’d rather make less money and know people have had a great experience than squeeze every dollar possible by cutting costs, trotting out tired old menus and adding in lots of extra charges. Maybe that makes me a bad business owner. I don’t really care. Good food goes beyond money. It makes everything better and unites us through pleasure.
